Abstract
Tomato orobanche Integrated Solutions Tomato orobanche report Broomrape (Orobanche ramosa) is a parasitic plant native to the Middle East which is now invasive in California processing tomato fields. Field trials were conducted by Brad Hanson at UC Davis to evaluate effective herbicides using the Israeli developed PICKET decision tool.  The herbicides were determined to be reasonably safe under California conditions. Further work is slated to evaluate the efficacy of these materials in commercial fields infested with broomrape.
Olive fruit fly Food Use Residue IR-4 Project 12563 The Bayer product Sivanto (flupyradifurone) was prioritized and selected for IR4 residue trials. Following EPA guidelines for residue research four residue trials were conducted in California, two with UC field researchers and two with a private contractor. The four field trials are completed, samples have been analyzed and will be summarized and submitted to the EPA for registration on Olives. The final report to EPA is available upon request.
Kiwi botrytis Food Use Residue IR-4 Project 12650 The Bayer product Velum Prime (trifloxystorbin + fluopyram) was prioritized and selected for IR4 residue trials. Following EPA guidelines for residue research five residue trials were conducted in California, three with UC field researchers and two with a private contractor. The five field trials are completed, samples have been analyzed and will be summarized and submitted to the EPA for registration on Kiwifruit.  The final report to EPA is available upon request.
